Communication Assessments
Sarah Leo is a qualified Influence Dimensions assessor and coach. First introduced to the powerful benefits of the Influence Dimensions assessment over 15 years ago, Sarah saw the immediate impact from understanding her own communication influences, and those of her colleagues. The assessment and subsequent debrief helps individuals and teams to understand the most effective way to communicate, assisting with conflict resolution and teamwork frustrations.
Influence Dimensions assessments are a behavioural measure, and not a personality test. Those who opt for Influence Dimensions assessments are often disappointed with the personality assessments that they had previously used. Influence Dimensions assessments along with coaching address the various ways individuals can effectively communicate, engage and influence each other in the workplace.
I found the session insightful and fun. I’ve undertaken various personality/communication assessments in the past, and this Influence Dimensions assessment was the most concise and easy to understand, and Sarah’s guidance through the session provided immediately actionable communication strategies.

Developed by Adelaide based psychologists, MCA Group, the online 35-item questionnaire measures six dimensions of communication style and behaviour, as well as people’s preferred perceptual system. The result is a unique Communication ID for the individual.
This process is ideal for individuals wanting to explore their own communication style and learn how to match their communication approach with others, or teams wanting to form closer connections and converse with greater success. Undertaking the Influence Dimensions assessment as part of a Family Business Australia Forum Group retreat was an eye-opener for me in regards to communication styles. Through the process, I was not only able to identify my communication ID style but also how other ‘styles’ may view me and how to interact within a group that has many different styles. The information gathered from the assessment is not only helpful purely for workplace environments, but will also enable boards/committees to function to communicate more effectively.

Sample report extracts:
Influence Dimensions is based on the interpersonal skills theory and practice of two independent specialists, Albert Mehrabian and Dr Milton Erickson. Mehrabian was a research psychologist who specialised in the nature and potency of communication. Erickson studied and lectured extensively on the nature and power of nonverbal communication.
